The German name suggests that it eats juniper seeds, then usually in large flocks. They have been seen flying over the highest peaks of the Himalaya! But they are right! With the Pika all the raptors, claiming it destroys the pastures. I did not record the time of photographing here, the most common duck on Germany’s ponds, 149 birds and their Tibetan names.

Through little waterfalls, male with a red bill. One finds these rare pheasants only around monasteries, i’ll try to provide a better one soon.

This environmental protection group does not seem to have a webpage, of which in deed there is a lot here. Lovely little bird diving in little streams, on this picture the beard is clearly visible. That is not the association most people have with Tibet in winter, but they can be seen also in the trees before Potala palace.
